California asks the federal government to reclassify marijuana
California’s state legislature recently approved a joint resolution urging the Federal Government and the Congress to remove marijuana from Schedule I drug. This is part of an ongoing push towards encouraging more research into the medical uses of marijuana. Reclassifying marijuana from the Schedule I (which includes other drugs like heroin, LSD and cocaine) could allow legal means to do more research on its usefulness for many patients. You can read more about this resolution at The Fix.
