Reddit’s /r/StopDrinking subreddit has become a place where over 30,000 people are seeking support. The StopDrinking community stands alongside other subreddits for recovery such as /r/RedditorsInRecovery and /r/stopsmoking, among others. Users are flocking to Reddit after being unable to find the answers they were looking for in AA or SMART Recovery. Partly filled with pictures or funny memes and partly a community-based support group, Reddit is gaining traction as a first choice for those in recovery.
